CMI Spring Seminar Series

CMI hosted three speakers this spring:Dr. Lijuan Yuan, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

EID and TPP co-sponsored Dr. Lijuan Yuan who is an Associate Professor of Virology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University on April 5, 2018.  She spoke on “Norovirus Pathogenesis, Immunity and the Role of Probiotics, Prebiotics and Gut Microbiota: Lessons from a Gnotobiotic Pig Model of Human Norovirus Infection and Diarrhea.”

Dr. Lijie Grace Zhang, George Washington University.  On April 27, 2018, the FTE sponsored a seminar by Dr. Lijie Grace Zhang, Associate Professor from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Medicine from The George Washington University.  The seminar was entitled: “Advanced 3D/4D Bioprinting and Nanotechnology for Complex Tissue and Organ Regeneration.”

Dr. Susmita Sahoo, Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.   FTE hosted a seminar with Dr. Susmita Sahoo who is an Assistant Professor at the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. The seminar, “Exosomes and Epitranscriptome in Disease and Therapeutic Mechanisms of the Heart” was featured on May 23, 2018.
