EID Meeting March 8, 2019

Over 40 members gathered on Friday, March 8, 2019 to celebrate the previous year’s accomplishments, discuss collaborative research proposals and compete in research pitches to walk away with one of the seven funding awards issued that evening.  Dr. Pierce highlighted the mission and future directions of the Emerging and Infectious Disease Program under the new oversight of Dr. Breitschwerdt and himself.  After several exciting competitive presentations, the judging panel met as the crowd gathered at a collaborative reception.
