CMI-TPP Meeting and Poster Session

The Translational Pharmacology and Physiology Program of the CMI hosted a member meeting on May 2, 2019 at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh.  As 14 posters surrounded the room, the meeting began with a welcome and opening remarks from Dr. Scott Laster, co-Associate Director.  After he summarized the Business and Medicine (BaM) Program in which TPP members have the opportunity to work with teams of students from the Master of Microbial Biotechnology Program on questions about working in a small business, a lively discussion ensued.  Next on the agenda was description of the three TPP-funded Team Science grants: Comparative Pain Research and Education Center(CPREC) by Dr. Duncan Lascelles, North Carolina State Center for Comparative Gastroenterology (NC2CG) by Dr. Anthony Blikslager and Center for Food Allery Modeling in Pigs (CFAMP) by Dr. Scott Laster.  After the three presentation, the floor was open to discussion regarding the future direction of the TPP.  This was followed by the poster session and collaborative reception.
