SBIR/STTR Symposium

On November 18, CMI co-sponsored the SBIR/STTR Symposium with the Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC). The goal of this symposium was to introduce and expound on the NIH SBIR/STTR funding mechanism. Representatives from OER, NIA, NHLBI, NIDDK and NSF all spoke on funding opportunities. There were poster presentations from both researchers and small business owners to assist in potential collaborations. One of the unique highlights of this event was the one-on-one meetings that participants were able to have with NIH representatives to discuss ideas and get further details. With over 140 in attendance, this symposium was a true success.
